    Colette Cooke

    Head of Education Development

    Colette leads the Education Development team, which includes UCIL, and has been involved with UCIL since it began in 2012.  She works closely with Sian and Alison to shape the strategic direction and vision of UCIL.

    Dr Alison Fisher

    Academic Lead for UCIL

    Alison provides strategic leadership and academic management of UCIL, overseeing curriculum development and quality assurance, advocating for UCIL, elevating its profile within the University and externally.

    Sian Yeowell

    Teaching and Learning Manager

    Sian heads up the UCIL team, she leads on all aspects of curriculum development for UCIL’s in-person, online and blended units. In addition, she works closely with Alison on strategic leadership and management of UCIL.

    Dr Amélie Mons

    Learning and Assessment Developer

    Amélie (SFHEA) is specialised in interdisciplinary learning. She is the unit lead for Leadership in Action, teaching theories of leadership to 100s of students each year. Her research background is in pedagogy in the arts.

    Dr Maria Kopsacheili

    Learning and Assessment Developer

    Maria (DPhil Oxon) develops online and blended units, including Philosophy in Action. A former SALC lecturer, she supports academics with pedagogical strategies and is leading on UCIL’s Introduction to Interdisciplinary Learning module.

    Dr Chris Shoop-Worrall

    Learning and Assessment Developer

    Chris (SFHEA) develops online and blended units, including 'Are We Alone?' and 'Communicating with Confidence'. Having worked teaching across higher, further, and secondary education, he also supports on academic and teaching strategies.

    Teaching Learning and Student Experience Co-ordinator

    Luke leads the UCIL administration team, who manage UCIL enquiries, coordinate governance meetings and prepare exam boards.

    Gail Bradbury

    Teaching Learning and Student Experience Administrator

    Gail is the first point of contact for student queries regarding UCIL units, from enrolment through to exam boards, as well as liaising with academics and being the UCIL DASS contact.

    Alongside Gail, Laura provides administrative support to the UCIL students and units, and also assists with the Ethical Grand Challenges

Digital Learning

    e-Learning Technologist

    Alice develops engaging online learning resources for UCIL's online and blended learning courses and ensures the Virtual Learning Environment operates smoothly for all UCIL and EGC content.

    Steve's background is in filmmaking and design. He has led the development and delivery of online UCIL units, including Why China Matters, Visualising Information, and Equality Diversity and Inclusion.

    Sarah provides project management support for the UCIL team, coordinating new development work as well as business as usual delivery.

    Teaching and Learning Officer (Marketing and Communications)

    Rachael leads the promotion of UCIL opportunities to students and works to build awareness amongst the University community through various marketing and communication activities.

    Teaching and Learning Officer (Online and Blended Learning Projects)

    Amiee works closely with the team delivering UCIL and EGC project management support,  assisting in establishing project management structures and coordinating new development work.

Graduate Interns

    Annabel Robson

    Graduate Intern - SBS Project

    Annabel studied biology at Manchester and has now joined the team assisting colleagues in various projects. Currently, she is assisting in the development of a bitesize version of an existing UCIL course for SBS students.

    Graduate Intern - SBS Project

    Michelle completed her MSc Geographical Information Science at Manchester. She is now supporting colleagues on a number of UCIL projects, including working on the bitzesize version of a UCIL unit for SBS students.
